Kia Sonet New petrol variant launched: Know price and features

The Sonet Compact SUV is currently available in HTE, HTC, HTC Plus, HTX, HTX Plus and GTX variants and an Anniversary Edition is also available for purchase along with various variants.

South Korea’s largest car manufacturers Kia is leading in the sale of mid-range premium cars, has launched the HTC Plus variant with a sunroof in the Sonet compact SUV, the new variant ex-showroom priced at Rs. 9.76 lakh is priced. The Sonet Compact SUV is currently available in HTE, HTC, HTC Plus, HTX, HTX Plus and GTX variants and an Anniversary Edition is also available for purchase along with various variants.

After this first HTC, the Kia company, which was providing sunroof facility only in the variants, has now given new premium features in the HTC Plus petrol variant as well, which is good for the choice of the customers who like the sunroof in the budget price variant. The new sunroof equipped HTC Plus petrol variant is priced at Rs 73,000 cheaper; the new variant has no additional features except the sun roof.

As before, the 8.0-inch touch screen, Apple Car Play, Android Auto, automatic AC, wireless smartphone charger, four speakers, two tweeters, automatic head lamps, keyless entry and rear camera for safety and 4 airbags will continue. The features of the Sonnet car will change according to the different variants, and the top-end model will have a higher level of premium features.

With an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.79 lakh, the top-end model is priced at Rs 14.89 lakh, the top-end model offers a high level of safety features. Engine performance in the new Sonet car, Kia Company has given a total of three engine options, depending on the different variants, 1.2 litre NA petrol, 1.0 litre turbo petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engine are available.

The 1.2-litre NA petrol variant is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox while the 1.0-litre turbo variant is mated to a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. Also, the 1.5 litre diesel version has a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox option.

With this, the Sonet car is giving good competition to the rival models like Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300 models and is expected to get more updates in the coming days.
