Ola Electric Sees Strong Comeback With Sharp Sales Growth in March
Ola Electric records a major surge in March sales driven by improved service faster deliveries and new product launches signaling a recovery phase in India growing electric two wheeler market

After facing a challenging period in recent months, Ola Electric has staged a notable comeback, reporting a sharp rise in sales during March. The company registered over ten thousand electric two wheelers last month, marking a growth of more than one hundred fifty percent compared to February.
This sudden jump reflects a turnaround in momentum for the brand, which had earlier seen a dip due to customer service concerns. Company officials indicate that improved after sales support and better availability of spare parts played a key role in restoring consumer confidence. Faster servicing, including same day repairs in many cases, appears to have significantly reduced complaints.
Demand also picked up strongly toward the end of March, with daily orders reportedly crossing one thousand units during the final week. The surge suggests renewed interest among buyers as the company worked to stabilize its operations and enhance user experience.
Another factor contributing to this growth is the rollout of new products and technologies. Ola Electric recently began deliveries of updated scooters equipped with locally manufactured battery packs. These batteries, developed within India, mark a significant step toward domestic production and technological independence in the electric mobility space.
The company has also expanded its portfolio by introducing new models, including electric motorcycles, aiming to capture a broader segment of the market. Alongside its popular scooter lineup, these additions are expected to strengthen its position in the competitive electric vehicle sector.
Despite the strong monthly performance, the broader market remains highly competitive. TVS Motor continues to lead in annual sales, followed by Bajaj Auto, both of which have maintained steady growth through their electric offerings. Ola Electric, while improving, still trails behind these established players in overall yearly rankings.
The company had also made some strategic adjustments in recent months, including closing select showrooms in certain regions. These moves were seen as part of a broader effort to streamline operations and focus on efficiency.
Industry observers view the March performance as a positive signal but caution that consistency will be key. Sustaining growth will depend on maintaining service quality, expanding infrastructure, and continuing to innovate in a rapidly evolving market.
For now, the numbers suggest that Ola Electric is regaining ground, with improved execution and product strategy helping it reconnect with customers and rebuild trust in a highly competitive space.
