Bengaluru Water Cut: The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has confirmed a major 24-hour water shutdown starting from tomorrow February 26, 2026 morning.
This is part of the final infrastructure push for the Cauvery Phase 5 project, specifically for installing high-tech Electromagnetic Flow (EMF) meters near the Gottigere reservoir to help manage water more efficiently during the upcoming summer.
The Shutdown Schedule:
Starts: Thursday, February 26, at 6:00 AM
Ends: Friday, February 27, at 6:00 AM
Normalization: Expect another 3 to 6 hours after 6:00 AM Friday for the water pressure to fully stabilize and reach your taps.
List of Affected Areas:(East and South Zone)
Whitefield & Kadugodi, Banashankari (All Phases), Hoodi & Garudacharpalya, Kumaraswamy Layout, Doddanekkundi, Poornaprajna Layout, Munnekolala (Marathahalli), Anjanapura & Gottigere, Nalluruhalli & Siddapur, Begur & Kallahalli, Nagondanahalli & Ramagondanahalli, Kudlu & Kodichikkanahalli, Channasandra.
