Republic Day: Bengaluru Airport Issued Travel Advisory to Passengers

Republic Day: With Republic Day approaching, a close watch is being kept on passengers arriving at the Bengaluru Airport, and security has been increased at screening, luggage checking, and check-in.

CISF personnel have taken precautionary measures to prevent any untoward incident, and the airport management has instructed passengers to arrive earlier than the scheduled time.

It said that this request is being made in view of the expectation of a large influx of passengers in the wake of the long weekend. Passengers are advised to allow extra time for check-in and security checks at the airport as additional security measures are being implemented in view of Republic Day.

Due to the additional security measures, it is likely that the entry gates and security checks will take more time. Therefore, the authorities have appealed to passengers to arrive a little earlier to avoid last-minute delays or missed flights.

Passengers are also advised to contact their respective airlines directly for flight-related information, including check-in times and boarding details.
Passenger traffic is expected to increase during the Republic Day long weekend.

In addition, as additional security measures have been implemented in the wake of Republic Day, all passengers are advised to plan their travel to allow sufficient time for check-in and security procedures.
