Bengaluru: In a significant political development, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar have temporarily put a stop to the ongoing power struggle within the Karnataka Congress party.
The two leaders displayed unity by having a breakfast meeting on Tuesday morning, marking their second such meeting in recent weeks. The breakfast gathering, which was reportedly organized on the instructions of the high command, was successful in showcasing the cohesion between the two leaders.
While their meeting was meant to emphasize solidarity, a new controversy has emerged surrounding their choice of luxury watches. Reports suggest that both Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar were seen wearing identical Cartier brand watches, which have become a topic of discussion.

According to the Cartier company website, the Santos de Cartier edition watch worn by both leaders is priced at Rs 43,20,000. This model, part of the luxury brand’s collection, features a mix of gold and silver. The dial and chain are primarily made of 750/1000 case gold, with a silver opaline dial.
The 7-sided crown of the watch is crafted from rose gold, adding to its luxurious appeal. The watch also comes with an 8-year warranty, covering replacement for any discrepancies during the warranty period, after which each service is complimentary.

Cartier is one of the world’s most renowned luxury watch brands, widely favored by politicians, businessmen, and celebrities alike. The British royal family, including figures like Princess Diana, is known to have worn Cartier watches, adding to the brand’s allure as a status symbol.
