Karnataka Rajyotsava Award 2025: The Karnataka government has abandoned the process of inviting applications online for the Kannada Rajyotsava Award this time. Instead, a high-level committee will be formed, and this committee will select 70 deserving achievers for the Kannada Rajyotsava Award.

The Minister of the Kannada and Culture Department has made an official announcement in this regard. Kannada Rajyotsava is coming up in a few days. This year, the 70th Kannada Rajyotsava is being celebrated and the government has decided to recognize 70 deserving achievers and give the Kannada Rajyotsava Award.

But surprisingly, this is the first time that the online application process has been abandoned. Kannada and Culture Minister Shivaraj Thangadgi has announced this. This time there will be no application process for the Kannada Rajyotsava Award. Instead, the advisory committee and high-level selection committees formed by the department will select the Rajyotsava Award, the minister said.

The Kannada Rajyotsava Award will include a cash prize of Rs. 5 lakh, a 25 gram gold medal, certificate and a memento. 70 deserving dignitaries will be awarded the Kannada Rajyotsava Award this year. The selection committee will prepare a list of deserving ones. The Minister said that the selection committee itself will take a decision on the voluntary applications already submitted to the department.
