Power Cut in these places of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada on August 19

Power Cut: According to reports, several areas in Mangaluru and Udupi districts will experience power disruptions on August 19. In Mangaluru, the power outage will affect Balmatta New Road, Mission Compound, and Athena Hospital areas from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be power cuts in Udupi on August 19, 2025. The power disruptions are due to scheduled maintenance work by MESCOM. In Udupi district, power supply will be stopped in certain areas between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The affected areas include:

According to reports, heavy rainfall has caused power disruptions and other issues in several parts of Karnataka on August 18, 2025.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for a number of districts, including Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, and Uttara Kannada, warning of “very heavy to extremely heavy rain.” This has led to concerns of urban flooding and disruptions to essential services, including power supply.
