Eligibility Criteria (as of July 1, 2025):
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years, Maximum 30 years. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years).
Educational Qualification:
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute (including Integrated Dual Degree (IDD)).
Professional qualifications in Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy, Engineering, or Medical are also eligible.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or any Regional Rural Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India. Experience in NBFCs, cooperative banks, Payment Banks, Small Finance Banks, or fintechs will not be considered. Candidates must submit a job profile certified by their existing/previous employer(s).
Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient (read, write, speak, and understand) in the local language of the state/union territory for which they are applying. For some North Eastern states (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura), English will now be accepted as a valid local language.
If the applicant has studied English or the relevant local language in Class 10 or 12, they will be exempted from the language proficiency test.
CIBIL Score (Credit History): A minimum CIBIL score of 680 or above is required at the time of joining. Candidates with a record of default in loan repayment or credit card dues, or against whom adverse reports from CIBIL or other external agencies are available, are not eligible.

Selection Process:
The selection process comprises:
Online Test: This is the first stage and is mandatory to qualify for further stages. It consists of 4 sections:
English Language (30 Questions, 30 Marks, 30 Minutes)
Banking Knowledge (30 Questions, 30 Marks, 30 Minutes)
General / Economic Awareness (30 Questions, 30 Marks, 30 Minutes)
Reasoning Ability & Quantitative Aptitude (30 Questions, 30 Marks, 30 Minutes)
Total: 120 Questions, 120 Marks, 120 Minutes.
There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for General & EWS Category, and 35% for Reserved Categories in each section.
Psychometric Test: This test assesses the candidate’s alignment with the Bank’s core values and aptitude for sales-related roles.
Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Candidates must qualify in the LPT unless they have studied the local language as a subject in 10th or 12th standard.
Group Discussion (GD) and/or Interview: Candidates shortlisted from the online test and LPT will proceed to this stage. The minimum qualifying marks for GD/PI are 60% for General Category and 55% for Reserved Category.
Salary and Career Progression:
Basic Pay: Starting basic pay for an LBO (JMG/S-I) is Rs. 48,480 per month.
Gross Monthly Salary: Approximately Rs. 80,000 (approx.)
In-Hand Salary: Approximately Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 75,000 per month after deductions.
Increments: The basic pay increases with regular increments, potentially reaching Rs. 85,920 per month over time.
Allowances and Perks: In addition to basic pay, LBOs receive various allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or Lease Rental Facility, City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Medical Benefits, Contributory Pension Scheme (NPS), Leave Travel Concession (LTC), and loan benefits at lower interest rates.
