India Post Recruitment 2026: Apply online for 25,000 GDS Posts
Applications are invited from eligible candidates to fill more than 25,000 vacancies for the posts of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) across various postal circles in India.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates to fill more than 25,000 vacancies for the posts of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) across various postal circles in India.
The recruitment process does not include a written examination or personal interview. Instead, candidates will be selected purely on the basis of the marks obtained in their Class 10 (SSLC) examination.
A merit list will be prepared based on the candidates’ Class 10 percentage. Those securing higher marks will be shortlisted and called for document verification and a medical fitness examination before the final appointment.
India Post Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognised board.
Have studied Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.
Possess working knowledge of the local language of the postal circle they are applying for.
India Post Recruitment 2026 Age Limit:
As of September 21, 2026, applicants must be:
At least 18 years old
Not more than 40 years old
Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India norms.
India Post Recruitment 2026 Salary Details:
Branch Postmaster (BPM): Rs 12,000 to Rs 29,380 per month
Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) / Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS): ₹10,000 to ₹24,470 per month, along with applicable allowances and benefits.
