Advance Ration: In our beloved country India, even before the monsoon season arrives, the government has taken a major initiative to ensure that the common people do not have to face any trouble.

Earlier, advance ration was supposed to be available in Uttar Pradesh from May 21, but now its dates have been changed. According to the Department of Food and Logistics, the ration for the month of May will be available only till today, i.e. May 20.

After this, intensive preparations will begin for the distribution of rations for the months of June, July and August. The process of getting advance ration will start from May 25. However, the government has now started controlling people who are getting ration fraudulently.

E-KYC is mandatory: To prevent such fraud, the government has made the e-KYC process mandatory for ration card holders. Most of the beneficiaries in the state have already done their e-KYC. If you have not done e-KYC yet, assume that your name will be removed from the list.

Although the last date to obtain e-KYC is March 31, you should immediately contact your nearest ration dealer or food department office. You can do this very easily from your mobile. This is a very important step to ensure your eligibility.

You can check online from the comfort of your home whether your name is on the ration card eligibility list or not.

If your name is on the list, you will be eligible to receive one month’s advance ration. If your name is not on this list and you meet the eligibility conditions, immediately go to the department office and get it corrected.

Follow these easy steps to check your eligibility list:

First of all, you need to go to the official portal of your state’s Department of Food and Logistics.

On the home page you will see the option of โ€˜Ration Card Eligibility Listโ€™, click on it.

On clicking this, the list of ration cards of all the districts will open.

Click on the district whose list you want to see.

Now the list of names of the city/village will open, select your city or village.

Now the list of shopkeepers of that city/village will open. Click on the ration card number given in front of the shopkeeper who has your ration card.

The list of all the beneficiaries will open in front of you.

If your name is in it, then you will get a ration. This list will also mention how many members are there in your family.
