Weather Report: Heavy rainfall alert in 6 states
Weather Report: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for heavy rain for today in 6 states in country. The mood of the weather is changing very fast across the country. Heatwaves are now visible in many states of the country.
Over the past few days, due to a western disturbance, there has been rain in many states, bringing down the temperature, giving people relief from the heat. According to the weather report issued by Meteorological Department, temperatures will increase in the coming days and rain is unlikely.

The hot season is about to begin in North India now. There is no possibility of a U-turn in the weather now. According to the Meteorological Department, heat wave to severe heat wave conditions can be seen in Odisha on March 18. Heatwave conditions can also be seen in Vidarbha, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, North Telangana and North Interior Karnataka.
Hot and humid weather may persist in parts of coastal Gujarat and North Interior Karnataka today for the next 5 days. According to the Meteorological Department, rain accompanied by strong winds is likely in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura today.

Along with this, a warning has also been issued regarding thunder and lightning in these states. Thunderstorms and strong winds are likely in Arunachal Pradesh for the next 6 days, but heavy rain is likely at some places. A warning of light rain has been issued for some parts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
