Gruha Lakshmi Scheme: Bad News for BPL, APL card Holders
In the last 14 days, 53 thousand applications have been submitted for Gruha Lakshmi Scheme. Most of the applications of APL card holders have been rejected.
Most of the applications of APL Ration card holders have been rejected. APL cardholders were in favor of the amendment to take advantage of the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme. 70% of the applicants are APL card holders. There are total 24 lakh APL card holders in the state.
In the last 14 days, 53 thousand applications have been submitted for Gruha Lakshmi Scheme, while earlier 3.18 lakh applications were pending for amendment. A total of 3.71 lakh BPL card amendment applications were pending.
Now the Karnataka food department has approved 1.17 lakh applications. On the other hand, information is available that approximately 93 thousand applications have been rejected. Revision of remaining amendment applications will be completed by the end of the month.

Reason for rejection of application:
It is said that the names of those who are not related have been added. Both the mother-in-law and the daughter-in-law were apply for deletion to be separate beneficiaries of Gruha Lakshmi Scheme.
Some family members have shown separation. Those who were in government jobs have also applied for correction. In addition, submitted a duplicate address change application for Gruha Lakshmi Yojana.

The amount of Rs 2000 each for the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme in the state has not yet gone. Out of 1.13 crore housewives who have applied, 82 lakh applicants have received money transfer. The money has to be transferred to the remaining 28 lakh applicant housewives.
