ICC suspend 6 star players including 3 Indians before World Cup 2023

ICC suspends 6 star players former Bangladesh Test batsman Nasir Hussain has also been accused of violating the league's anti-corruption rules.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has slapped various charges against eight players, officials and some Indian team owners for their involvement in corrupt activities during the 2021 Emirates T10 League. Indian Parag Sanghvi and Krishna Kumar are also included in this list.

ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is going to start in few days and cricket fans all over the world are waiting for this huge tournament. But before this, there was an uproar in the world of cricket, The ICC has alleged that a total of 8 people have committed illegal activities in the Abu Dhabi T-10 League, which is run under the Emirates Cricket Board.

According to a Cricbuzz report, the names of 8 people, including former Bangladesh all-rounder Nasir Hussain, have been named in this allegation. It is known that two Indian officials, Krishnan Kumar Chaudhary and Parag Sanghvi, batting coach Sunny Dhillon are also involved. In its statement, the ICC said, ‘Attempts have been made to fix certain matches of the 2021 T-Ten League.

Former Bangladesh Test batsman Nasir Hussain has also been accused of violating the league’s anti-corruption policy. Sunny Dhillon, on the other hand, has been accused of trying to rig matches in the 2021 Abu Dhabi T10 Cricket League tournament.

Sanghvi was not cooperating with the betting and probe agency on match results and other aspects, Krishna Kumar concealed matters from Designated Anti-Corruption Official (DACO), and Dhillon was accused of trying to corrupt the match.

Others suspended include batting coach Azhar Zaidi, UAE domestic players Rizwan Javed and Salia Saman and team manager Shadab Ahmed. Six people, including three Indians, have been provisionally suspended and all have been given 19 days from Tuesday to respond to the charges.
