The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department has announced major relief for ration card holders by launching a new mobile application called ‘Anna Seve’ to simplify the e-KYC process. No More Queues! Karnataka Launches ‘Anna Seve’ App for Ration Card e-KYC.
With this app, beneficiaries can now complete their e-KYC conveniently from home, eliminating the need to stand in long queues at fair price shops. The Anna Seve app has initially been rolled out in eight districts as part of a pilot project. Residents of Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Udupi, Haveri, Karwar, Ballari, Bidar, and Koppal can currently access the service.
The Karnataka government has announced that the application will be expanded to all 31 districts across the state within the next 20 days.
New App Aims to Eliminate Server Issues:
Although the state has been carrying out the e-KYC verification drive as per the directions of the Central Government, frequent server issues have caused significant inconvenience to beneficiaries.
Speaking about the initiative, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Rizwan Arshad said that Karnataka has around 45 million beneficiaries, and ensuring seamless access to government services is the department’s priority.
He added that strict measures have been taken to resolve server-related issues and that the newly launched Anna Seve app will make the entire e-KYC process faster, simpler, and more convenient for ration card holders.
The government expects the new digital platform to reduce waiting time, improve service delivery, and help beneficiaries complete their e-KYC quickly without visiting ration shops.
