Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro May Launch With 11000mAh Battery and 144Hz Display

Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro is expected to bring a larger 12.5 inch display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, 11000mAh battery and fast charging to the premium tablet segment.

Xiaomi appears to be preparing a new premium tablet, and the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro has started attracting attention ahead of its expected launch. Several hardware details have surfaced online, pointing towards a substantial upgrade over the existing model.

The tablet has reportedly appeared on the Chinese MIIT certification platform with model number 2612CRPFFC. Tipster Digital Chat Station has also shared alleged specifications on Weibo. Xiaomi has not confirmed these details yet, so the reported hardware should be treated as unconfirmed information.

The biggest changes could come in the display, processor and battery departments. If the leaked specifications are accurate, the Pad 9 Pro could target users looking for a large screen and strong performance in a premium Android tablet.

12.5 Inch Display With 144Hz Refresh Rate

According to the leak, Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro could feature a 12.5 inch LCD panel with a 3.2K resolution of 3200 by 2136 pixels. The screen is also expected to support a 144Hz refresh rate.

This would represent a noticeable increase in size compared with the 11.2 inch display reportedly used on the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro. A larger panel could be useful for watching videos, browsing, studying, multitasking and handling productivity tasks.

The higher refresh rate should also make everyday interactions feel smoother. Scrolling through webpages, navigating applications and playing compatible high frame rate content could benefit from the 144Hz panel.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Could Handle Performance

Performance is expected to be another major highlight of the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro. The tablet is reportedly being tested with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which is said to use a 3nm manufacturing process.

A processor in this class could give the tablet enough power for demanding applications, multitasking and gaming. It could also make the device more suitable for users who want to use a tablet for heavier productivity or creative workloads.

Interestingly, the reported Pro model could use Qualcomm silicon instead of Xiaomi’s own Xring O3 chip. This suggests Xiaomi may take a different hardware approach with different models in its upcoming premium tablet range.

11000mAh Battery Could Be a Major Highlight

Battery capacity may be one of the strongest selling points of the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro. The tablet is tipped to feature an 11000mAh battery, which would be considerably larger than the 9200mAh unit associated with the previous Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro.

A larger battery should help the device deliver longer usage between charges. That could be particularly useful with a large display and a 144Hz refresh rate, both of which can demand more power during extended use.

For students, professionals and entertainment focused users, the additional capacity could make the tablet more convenient for longer sessions away from a charger.

67W Fast Charging Expected

Xiaomi is also reportedly preparing 67W wired fast charging for the Pro model. This would complement the larger battery by allowing users to replenish the device more quickly.

Earlier reports have suggested that charging speeds could differ across the Pad 9 lineup. The standard model may support 45W charging, while the Pro version could receive the faster 67W solution.

The combination of a large battery and faster charging could therefore become an important part of Xiaomi’s pitch for the new tablet.

Launch Details Remain Unconfirmed

Xiaomi has not officially announced the launch date or pricing for the Pad 9 Pro. Recent reports have suggested that the Xiaomi Pad 9 series could be introduced in China during September, but the company has yet to confirm the schedule.

If the leaked specifications turn out to be accurate, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro could arrive with a strong combination of display quality, processing power and battery capacity. The 12.5 inch 144Hz screen and 11000mAh battery in particular could help the tablet stand out in the premium segment.

The final specifications, pricing and availability will only become clear when Xiaomi makes an official announcement.
