Vivo Y31T 5G Launched in India With 7,200mAh Battery and 50MP Camera

Vivo Y31T 5G arrives in India with a large battery, 120Hz display, 50MP camera, 256GB storage, and Snapdragon processor, targeting users wanting long battery life and 5G connectivity.

Vivo has added another smartphone to its Y Series lineup in India with the launch of the Vivo Y31T 5G. The new model is aimed at buyers looking for a combination of 5G connectivity, long battery life, a high refresh rate display, and generous storage.

The phone starts at ₹25,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage version. The 6GB RAM and 128GB model is priced at ₹29,999, while the top variant with 6GB RAM and 256GB storage costs ₹34,999. The handset is available in Crimson Red, Golden Mist, and Seashore colours.

Vivo is also offering an instant cashback of ₹1,500 on selected bank cards. Customers can purchase the smartphone through Flipkart, Vivo’s online store, and authorised offline retail outlets.

The biggest attraction of the Vivo Y31T 5G is its 7,200mAh battery. The large capacity is designed for users who spend long hours on their phones and do not want to charge the device frequently. The battery supports 44W wired fast charging.

The display is another notable feature. Vivo has equipped the smartphone with a 6.75 inch HD Plus LCD panel offering a 720 by 1608 pixel resolution. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling and supported animations appear smoother. Peak brightness is rated at up to 1,250 nits.

The handset also comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for protection against dust and water. This gives the Y31T 5G an added advantage for users who want a phone with greater resistance to everyday exposure to dust and moisture.

Under the hood, the smartphone uses the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. Its two performance cores can reach speeds of up to 2.2GHz, while the remaining six cores operate at up to 1.95GHz. The phone offers up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

For everyday security, Vivo has included a side mounted fingerprint sensor along with face unlock. The device runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6, bringing the company’s latest software experience to the Y Series model.

Photography is handled by a 50MP primary rear camera paired with a 2MP bokeh sensor. The front camera has an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls. The camera setup is focused on everyday photography rather than positioning the phone as a dedicated camera focused device.

The connectivity package includes 5G, 4G LTE, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, and a USB Type C port. The phone measures 8.39mm in thickness and weighs around 219 grams.

With its large 7,200mAh battery, 120Hz display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, and storage options reaching 256GB, the Vivo Y31T 5G is clearly aimed at users who place battery endurance and everyday usability ahead of premium specifications. The starting price of ₹25,999 puts it in a competitive part of the Indian smartphone market.
