Samsung Galaxy M17 5G and Galaxy F17 5G Get Another Price Hike in India
Samsung Galaxy M17 5G and Galaxy F17 5G have become more expensive again, with the latest reported hike marking the second major increase for these smartphones within six months.

Samsung has reportedly raised the prices of its Galaxy M17 5G and Galaxy F17 5G smartphones in India once again. The latest change varies by RAM configuration and means buyers will now have to pay more for several variants. The updated prices were reported by tipster Debayan Roy through his social media handle, rather than being announced directly by Samsung.
Galaxy M17 5G Price Increased
The Galaxy M17 5G has received a noticeable price increase across its different RAM options. According to the report, the 4GB RAM version is now priced at Rs 17,999 after a Rs 1,000 hike. The 6GB RAM model has reportedly increased by Rs 2,000 to Rs 19,999, while the 8GB RAM variant is said to have reached Rs 21,999 following a Rs 3,000 increase.
The Galaxy M17 5G was launched in India in October 2025. It features a 6.7 inch FHD Plus AMOLED display and is powered by the Exynos 1330 chipset. The smartphone also comes with a 50MP triple rear camera system, a 5,000mAh battery and support for 25W fast charging.
This is not the first price revision for the device. In March 2026, the reported price of the 6GB plus 128GB model increased from Rs 15,999 to Rs 16,499, while the 8GB plus 128GB version went from Rs 17,499 to Rs 18,499. Another reported increase followed in May, when prices of all three M17 5G variants were raised by Rs 1,000.
Galaxy F17 5G Also Costs More
Samsung has reportedly increased the price of the Galaxy F17 5G as well. The 6GB RAM model is said to have become Rs 1,000 more expensive, while the 8GB RAM version has reportedly received a Rs 2,000 increase.
Following the latest changes, the 4GB plus 128GB model is available at around Rs 17,999, while the 6GB plus 128GB and 8GB plus 128GB variants are reported to cost around Rs 19,999 and Rs 22,999 respectively. Actual selling prices can differ between retailers and online platforms because of discounts and ongoing offers.
The Galaxy F17 5G comes with a 6.7 inch Super AMOLED display featuring a 90Hz refresh rate. It uses the Exynos 1330 chipset and has a 50MP, 5MP and 2MP triple camera setup on the back. A 13MP front camera handles selfies, while a 5,000mAh battery powers the phone.
Rising Costs Could Be Behind the Hike
The repeated price changes come at a time when several smartphone makers are reportedly reviewing prices across their portfolios. A report published toward the end of July suggested that Samsung, Oppo, Realme and Xiaomi could increase prices on selected smartphones during August, with rising memory costs cited as one possible factor.
For buyers, the repeated increases mean both the Galaxy M17 5G and Galaxy F17 5G now cost considerably more than they did around their launch periods. Anyone planning to purchase either model should check Samsung’s official website and major online retailers before placing an order, as promotional offers and retailer discounts can change the final price.
