Udupi Heavy Rainfall: Declared Holiday for Schools and PU College on July 25

The holiday applies to all anganwadi centres, government, aided, and private primary and high schools, as well as pre-university (PU) colleges (up to Class 12) across the district on July 25.

Amid continuous heavy rainfall and a Yellow Alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC), the Udupi district administration has declared a holiday for all educational institutions up to the pre-university (PU) level on Saturday, July 25.

The decision was announced through an official order issued by the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Udupi as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students.

The holiday applies to all anganwadi centres, government, aided, and private primary and high schools, as well as pre-university (PU) colleges (up to Class 12) across the district on July 25. Authorities have urged students, parents, and educational institutions to follow the advisory and avoid unnecessary travel in view of the prevailing weather conditions.
