Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra Expected Soon as New Smartphones Appear on Certification Platforms

Poco is preparing new flagship smartphones with powerful Snapdragon processors, advanced connectivity features, and upgraded specifications as the upcoming F9 series appears on certification databases.

Poco appears to be preparing the launch of two new flagship smartphones, with the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra recently spotted on certification platforms. The upcoming devices are expected to succeed the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra models introduced previously.

The new smartphones have reportedly appeared on the IMEI database with model numbers 2607APCA5G for the Poco F9 Pro and 26077PC53G for the Poco F9 Ultra. The same model numbers have also been listed on Singapore’s IMDA certification website, suggesting that the devices could soon enter international markets.

The certification listings reveal support for modern connectivity options, including 5G, Bluetooth, WiFi, and NFC. However, Poco has not yet officially confirmed the launch date, pricing, or complete specifications of the upcoming smartphones.

Reports suggest that the Poco F9 Pro could feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, while the Poco F9 Ultra may come with the more advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset. These processors are expected to offer improved performance and efficiency for gaming, multitasking, and AI based features.

The company’s previous flagship smartphone, Poco F8 Ultra, offered a premium set of specifications. It featured a 6.9 inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, and peak brightness of 3500 nits. The device was powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and operated on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

The Poco F8 Ultra also focused heavily on photography with a triple rear camera setup. It included a 50 megapixel primary sensor, a 50 megapixel periscope telephoto lens, and a 50 megapixel ultra wide angle camera. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone featured a 32 megapixel front camera.

Battery performance was another key feature of the previous model, with a 6500mAh battery supporting 100W HyperCharge wired fast charging. The device also included an in display fingerprint sensor for security.

The Poco F8 Pro came with a 6.59 inch AMOLED display and a 6210mAh battery with support for 100W HyperCharge wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. It also featured a similar 50 megapixel triple camera system and a 32 megapixel front camera.

With the upcoming Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra listings appearing on certification websites, expectations are growing that Poco may soon introduce its next generation flagship lineup with upgraded processors and improved features for global smartphone users.
