Maruti Suzuki to Hike Prices of Multiple Car Models from August 2026

India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, has announced a price hike of up to Rs 30,000 across several of its car models. The revised prices will come into effect from August 2026.

The company said the decision has been taken due to rising input costs and persistent inflationary pressures. In a regulatory filing, Maruti Suzuki stated that the extent of the price increase will vary depending on the model and variant.

The price hike will impact a wide range of vehicles, from the entry-level S-Presso to the premium Invicto MPV. Currently, Maruti Suzuki’s passenger vehicle lineup is priced between Rs 3.5 lakh and Rs 28.70 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Suzuki had also increased prices in June 2026. At that time, the company introduced a Price Protection offer for buyers of its small cars, including the Alto K10, S-Presso, Celerio, and WagonR, ensuring customers who booked before the price revision did not have to pay the increased price.

However, the company has not yet confirmed whether a similar price protection scheme will be available for the upcoming August 2026 price hike. Maruti Suzuki is not the only automaker to increase prices. Due to higher raw material costs and global trade disruptions, companies such as Tata Motors, Mahindra, and Hyundai have also raised vehicle prices in recent months.
