
Redmi has officially introduced its latest performance focused smartphone, the K90 Ultra, in China. The new device arrives as the successor to the Redmi K80 Ultra and brings significant upgrades in battery capacity, gaming performance, and display technology, targeting users who demand high end speed and endurance.
One of the biggest highlights of the smartphone is its massive 8550mAh battery, which supports 100W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. This large battery is designed to deliver extended usage for gaming, streaming, and everyday tasks without frequent charging interruptions.
On the performance front, the Redmi K90 Ultra is powered by Qualcommโs Snapdragon 8 Elite processor paired with Adreno GPU. The phone also includes a dedicated D2 AI gaming graphics chip that enhances frame rates and improves visual stability during heavy gaming sessions. To manage heat, the device is equipped with an active cooling fan system, ensuring stable performance under load.
The smartphone features a 6.83 inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 by 2772 pixels. It supports a 165Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, and peak brightness of up to 3500 nits, offering a smooth and vibrant visual experience for both gaming and media consumption.
Camera performance has also been upgraded. The rear setup includes a 50 megapixel Light Hunter 800 primary sensor along with an 8 megapixel ultra wide lens. On the front, the device carries a 20 megapixel camera designed for selfies and video calls. The camera system focuses on delivering balanced performance for both photography and video recording needs.
In terms of connectivity, the Redmi K90 Ultra supports 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, BeiDou, and NavIC. It also comes with multiple sensors including an electronic compass, accelerometer, flicker sensor, and gyroscope, enhancing usability across different scenarios.
The device is available in Blue, Silver, and Black colour options. It comes in multiple storage variants, with the base model starting at CNY 2,799 for configurations like 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, while higher variants go up to CNY 3,499 for 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. This roughly translates to a price range of around 39,000 to 48,800 rupees depending on the variant.
With its combination of a huge battery, flagship level chipset, high refresh rate display, and AI powered gaming enhancements, the Redmi K90 Ultra positions itself as a strong contender in the premium performance smartphone segment.
