Vivo X Fold 6 Set for Global Launch as Foldable Smartphone Market Heats Up Worldwide

Vivo X Fold 6 is preparing for an international rollout featuring large AMOLED displays high end cameras Dimensity 9500 chipset and a powerful 7000mAh battery targeting the growing foldable smartphone demand.

The foldable smartphone segment continues to gain momentum globally, with major brands competing aggressively to strengthen their presence. Samsung currently dominates this category, while Apple is also expected to enter the foldable space with its first device in the coming year. Amid this rising competition, Vivo is preparing to expand its latest foldable offering beyond China.

Vivo recently introduced the X Fold 6 in its home market, and reports suggest that the device is now gearing up for an international launch. However, the company has not officially confirmed whether the smartphone will arrive in India. Vivo had previously launched the X Fold 3 Pro in June last year and followed it up with another foldable model in select global markets.

The global launch timeline for the Vivo X Fold 6 has not yet been disclosed, but expectations are high that it will carry specifications similar to the Chinese variant. The device is positioned as a premium foldable aimed at users looking for flagship level performance and advanced imaging capabilities in a flexible form factor.

On the design and display front, the Vivo X Fold 6 features an 8.02 inch inner foldable AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and high touch sampling support for smoother interaction. On the outside, it offers a 6.51 inch AMOLED cover display, allowing users to operate the device comfortably even when folded.

Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super octa core processor, which is expected to deliver high end efficiency and multitasking capabilities. The smartphone is also equipped to handle demanding applications, making it suitable for productivity focused users as well as entertainment needs.

Camera capabilities remain one of the strongest highlights of the device. The rear setup includes a 200 megapixel primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization, a 50 megapixel ultra wide lens, and a 50 megapixel periscope telephoto camera. Both the inner and outer displays are fitted with 20 megapixel front cameras for selfies and video calls.

Powering the device is a large 7000mAh battery supported by 80W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging. Vivo claims the phone can also support advanced video recording capabilities up to 8K resolution, further strengthening its flagship positioning in the foldable category.

The Vivo X Fold 6 also includes a side mounted fingerprint scanner for security and comes with a refined foldable design. When unfolded, it measures 157.16 by 145.66 by 4.40 millimeters, while the folded form measures 157.16 by 74.26 by 9.40 millimeters, highlighting its slim engineering despite the large battery and display setup.

With the global foldable market expanding rapidly, Vivo appears ready to compete more aggressively in the premium segment, positioning the X Fold 6 as a strong contender for users seeking innovation, performance, and versatility in a single device.
