Sony has introduced its new BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II smart TV lineup in India featuring AI processor, True RGB LED display technology, Dolby Atmos audio, Google TV integration and premium cinematic viewing experience.

Sony has expanded its premium television lineup in India with the launch of the BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II series, targeting users looking for cinema like performance at home. The new range introduces advanced display technology, larger screen options up to 85 inches, and AI driven picture processing aimed at improving real world viewing quality.

The BRAVIA 9 II stands out as the flagship model in this series and will go on sale starting June 29, 2026. It is available in 75 inch and 85 inch variants, priced at Rs 5,39,990 and Rs 6,69,990 as effective best buy prices, while the MRP goes significantly higher. On the other hand, the BRAVIA 7 II is already available in the market in four size options including 55 inch, 65 inch, 75 inch and 85 inch, making it a more flexible choice across budgets.

At the core of both TV series is a 4K UHD True RGB LED display paired with a 120Hz refresh rate. Sony has introduced its RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro technology that independently controls red, green and blue LEDs. This approach is designed to deliver more precise colors, deeper blacks and improved brightness control, especially in high contrast scenes.

Picture performance is further enhanced by the Cognitive Processor XR which brings AI based scene analysis to optimize visuals in real time. Features like XR Contrast Booster, Triluminos Max color reproduction, Luminance Booster Pro and Dolby Vision support work together to deliver a more detailed and balanced image output. Sony has also added an Immersive Black Screen Pro feature to reduce reflections for better visibility in bright rooms.

Audio experience also receives a strong upgrade in this generation. The BRAVIA 9 II comes with an 80 watt Acoustic Multi Audio Plus system, while the BRAVIA 7 II offers a 40 watt Acoustic Multi Audio setup. Both models support Dolby Atmos, DTS audio processing, Voice Zoom 3 and 3D surround upscaling to enhance dialogue clarity and cinematic depth.

On the smart side, both TVs run on Google TV and support Google Chromecast and Apple AirPlay for easy content sharing. Sony has also included Ambient Optimization and Studio Calibrated modes for more personalized viewing. The company has confirmed that Gemini integration for Google TV will arrive later through an over the air update, expanding AI driven smart features further.

Design has also been given attention with a minimal bezel look, immersive frame structure and a neat cable management system. The TVs also ship with a premium remote that includes USB Type C charging, backlit buttons and a Find My Remote feature, adding convenience for everyday use.

Connectivity options are comprehensive with support for HDMI 2.1 ports, Wi Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, Ethernet and eARC depending on the model. Sony has positioned this lineup as a complete home entertainment solution combining high end display engineering with smart ecosystem features aimed at modern households.
