Nothing is once again preparing to make headlines in the smartphone market with its upcoming Phone 4b, which is scheduled to launch on July 7. The company, known for its transparent design language and unique user experience, is now introducing a new βbβ series that aims to reach a wider audience with a more accessible offering.
The Phone 4b is expected to focus on performance efficiency and improved everyday usability. According to early information, the device may feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, although the exact model has not been officially confirmed by the company. However, leaks and benchmark listings strongly suggest the possibility of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor powering the device.
A listing on the Geekbench platform has added more credibility to these claims. The device reportedly scored 1088 points in the single core test and 3155 points in the multi core test. These numbers indicate a noticeable improvement in performance compared to earlier models in the same segment. The smartphone is also expected to come with 8 GB RAM and run on Nothing OS based on Android 16.
Design remains one of the strongest identities of Nothing phones, and the Phone 4b is expected to continue that trend. The signature Glyph Interface may evolve into a more compact horizontal Glyph Bar placed beneath the rear camera module. This redesigned system is likely to display notifications, charging status and app alerts in a more refined way.
On the camera front, the Phone 4b is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup with a 50 megapixel primary sensor. The overall imaging experience is expected to focus on balanced performance for everyday photography rather than extreme flagship level specifications.
The display is likely to be a 6.7 inch AMOLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, offering smooth scrolling and a vibrant viewing experience. Storage options may go up to 256 GB, while the battery is expected to be around 5400 mAh, aimed at providing reliable full day usage.
Interestingly, Geekbench results and leaks also hint at how Nothing is positioning this device. The focus appears to be on delivering a clean software experience combined with stable performance rather than competing purely on high end hardware numbers.
Earlier this year, the company launched the Nothing Phone 4a in India, which featured a 6.78 inch flexible AMOLED display with high brightness levels and a smooth refresh rate. With the upcoming Phone 4b, Nothing seems ready to expand its lineup further while maintaining its distinct design philosophy and software driven experience.
As the launch date approaches, expectations are growing among fans who are eager to see how the new βbβ series will redefine Nothingβs approach to the mid range smartphone segment.
