The Karnataka State government has announced a major boost for job seekers by issuing an official order to expedite the recruitment process for 72,186 vacant posts across various government departments. The government has directed that all these vacancies be filled through direct recruitment within the next six months.

The government has approved the recruitment of a total of 72,186 vacant positions across different departments. Of these, the Finance Department has already initiated the process to fill 40,009 vacancies that have remained unfilled since the 2023-24 financial year.

The Finance Department has also granted approval to fill 32,177 vacant posts under the Kalyana Karnataka Local Cadre. The government has issued strict instructions to ensure that there are no delays in the recruitment process.

Government Sets Strict Deadlines:

The state government has laid down a clear timeline for completing the recruitment process:

Within 2 months: Recruitment notifications for all approved posts must be issued.

Within 4 months: Competitive examinations must be conducted successfully.

Within 6 months: The selection process must be completed and appointment orders must be issued to selected candidates.

Senior Officials Appointed to Oversee Recruitment:

The Cabinet has approved the recruitment drive, and senior-level officials have been appointed to monitor and expedite the process. The responsibility for overseeing direct recruitment in 17 departments has been assigned to the Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner of the Government of Karnataka.
