RedMagic is preparing to introduce a new gaming focused tablet that aims to deliver flagship performance in a compact form factor. The upcoming RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is scheduled to make its debut in China on June 30, and the company has already revealed several key details ahead of the launch.
The new tablet will succeed the previous Gaming Tablet 3 Pro and is expected to bring meaningful upgrades in display technology, processing power, and thermal management. Pre reservations have already opened, indicating strong anticipation among gaming enthusiasts.
One of the biggest highlights of the device is its 9.06 inch OLED display. RedMagic has confirmed that the screen will support an impressive 185Hz refresh rate, making it one of the fastest displays ever featured on a gaming tablet. The panel is also capable of reaching up to 1600 nits of peak brightness, ensuring excellent visibility and vibrant visuals even in challenging lighting conditions.
The company says the display uses upgraded X10 luminescent material, which is designed to improve brightness, color accuracy, and overall visual quality. For gamers, this could translate into smoother gameplay and a more immersive experience across a wide range of titles.
Performance is expected to be another major selling point. Reports suggest the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. If confirmed, the processor would place the device among the most powerful Android tablets currently available. Such hardware is expected to handle demanding games, multitasking, and content creation tasks with ease.
To support sustained performance during long gaming sessions, RedMagic is equipping the tablet with RGB Liquid Cooling technology. Effective heat management has become increasingly important in modern gaming devices, and the new cooling solution is expected to help maintain stable frame rates while preventing performance throttling.
From a design perspective, the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro retains the signature appearance seen in previous RedMagic products. The tablet will be available in Silver and Black color options, offering a premium and gamer oriented aesthetic that aligns with the brand’s identity.
The launch of the tablet follows RedMagic’s continued push into the gaming hardware segment. Earlier this year, the company introduced the Red Magic 11 Air smartphone to international markets. That device featured a 6.85 inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate and was powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It also included a dedicated RedCore R4 gaming chip, advanced cooling technologies, and several gaming focused enhancements.
The Red Magic 11 Air further showcased the company’s commitment to gaming by offering features such as Cube Sky Engine 3.0, built in PC emulation support, shoulder trigger buttons with a 520Hz touch sampling rate, and an ICE Magic Cooling System featuring dual active cooling fans and a vapor chamber. The smartphone also packed a massive 7000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging and bypass charging.
With the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro, RedMagic appears to be extending that same gaming philosophy to a larger screen device. The combination of a high refresh rate OLED display, flagship processor, and specialized cooling system could make it a compelling choice for users looking for a dedicated gaming tablet.
More information regarding memory configurations, pricing, and availability is expected to be announced during the official launch event. Until then, the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is shaping up to be one of the most interesting gaming tablets arriving this year.
