Redmi Turbo 5 Launches With Buyback Deal and Flagship Grade Features

Buyers can use the Redmi Turbo 5 for a year at a lower effective cost through a buyback program while also getting powerful performance, fast charging and premium durability.

Redmi has officially opened sales for its latest performance focused smartphone, the Redmi Turbo 5, bringing an eye catching buyback offer that is drawing significant attention from buyers. Alongside flagship level specifications, the company is promoting a plan that can substantially reduce the effective ownership cost for users who upgrade frequently.

One of the biggest highlights is the assured buyback program. Under this offer, customers who return the device within one year of purchase can receive up to 60 percent of the phone’s value back. Based on the pricing of the 8GB and 256GB variant, the buyback value works out to nearly Rs 22,799. This means the effective cost of using the device for a year comes down considerably, making it an attractive option for users who prefer changing smartphones regularly.

The Redmi Turbo 5 is available in multiple variants. The 8GB and 256GB version is priced at Rs 37,999, while the 12GB and 256GB model carries a price tag of Rs 40,999. Customers using select SBI, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank credit cards can also avail discounts of up to Rs 2,000. The smartphone is offered in Asphalt Black, Nitro Blue and Turbo White color options.

Performance remains one of the strongest selling points of the new device. Redmi has equipped the smartphone with the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage technology. The chipset is designed to handle demanding gaming sessions, multitasking and heavy applications with ease. According to the company, the device has crossed the 2.3 million mark on benchmark testing platforms, highlighting its flagship class capabilities.

To keep temperatures under control during intensive usage, the phone features a large 3D Ice Loop cooling system with an expansive heat dissipation area. This cooling setup is expected to help maintain stable performance during gaming and long usage sessions.

Photography enthusiasts also get a capable camera system. The rear setup includes a 50 megapixel primary camera powered by the Sony IMX882 sensor, supported by both optical and electronic image stabilization technologies. An 8 megapixel ultra wide camera complements the main sensor, while a 20 megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls. Users can record videos in up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. The phone also includes a unique Pixel Matrix notification feature around the camera module for alerts and visual notifications.

The display specifications further strengthen the premium positioning of the device. Redmi Turbo 5 features a 6.59 inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The screen supports peak brightness levels of up to 3500 nits, Dolby Vision technology and advanced PWM dimming for improved viewing comfort. Protection is provided by Gorilla Glass 7i, helping enhance durability against everyday wear and tear.

Durability is another area where the smartphone stands out. The device carries multiple water and dust resistance certifications, including IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. These certifications indicate strong protection against dust ingress and exposure to water under various conditions.

Battery life is expected to be a major advantage thanks to the large 7540mAh battery packed inside the slim body. The phone supports 100W wired fast charging through a USB Type C port, allowing users to recharge quickly. It also supports 27W wired reverse charging, enabling the device to power compatible accessories when needed.

On the software front, the Redmi Turbo 5 runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. The company has promised four years of operating system upgrades and six years of security updates, offering long term software support for buyers.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and an infrared blaster. Security features include an in display fingerprint scanner and face unlock support. Despite housing a massive battery, the phone maintains a relatively slim profile with a thickness of 8.18mm.

With a combination of high end hardware, long software support, premium display technology and a value driven buyback scheme, the Redmi Turbo 5 is positioning itself as a strong contender in the upper midrange smartphone segment. For users looking for performance, battery endurance and future ready features, the latest Redmi offering appears to deliver a compelling package.
