Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 Debuts Globally With JBL Audio and Powerful Battery
Lenovo has unveiled its latest tablet featuring a large high refresh rate display, immersive JBL audio system, long battery life, Android 16 support and productivity focused features.

Lenovo has expanded its tablet portfolio with the launch of the new Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 in international markets. Designed for entertainment, productivity, and everyday use, the latest tablet combines a large display, powerful audio system, and long lasting battery life in a premium package.
One of the standout features of the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 is its audio experience. The tablet comes equipped with a nine speaker JBL tuned sound system, offering immersive audio for movies, music, and gaming. Lenovo has also included a Bluetooth speaker mode, allowing the device to function as a standalone wireless speaker when needed. This feature adds extra versatility for users who enjoy consuming multimedia content throughout the day.
The tablet features a 12.1 inch 2.5K IGZO display with a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth scrolling and responsive performance. With peak brightness reaching 800 nits, users can comfortably view content even in brighter environments. Whether watching videos, attending online classes, or browsing the web, the display is designed to provide a vibrant visual experience.
Under the hood, Lenovo has powered the device with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor. The chipset is paired with multiple memory and storage configurations, giving buyers flexibility based on their needs. The tablet is available in 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, while higher variants offer 8GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. Users who require additional space can expand storage up to 2TB using a microSD card.
Photography and video calling needs are handled by a capable camera setup. The rear panel houses a 13 megapixel autofocus camera that can capture documents, casual photos, and videos with ease. On the front, an 8 megapixel camera supports video calls, online meetings, and virtual learning sessions.
Battery life remains a major highlight of the new device. Lenovo has packed a large 10200mAh battery inside the tablet, supported by 45W fast charging technology. According to the company, a full charge can deliver up to 15 hours of YouTube video streaming, making it suitable for long journeys, work sessions, and extended entertainment use.
To improve usability, Lenovo has integrated a built in 360 degree rotating folding stand. This allows users to position the tablet at different viewing angles for watching content, making video calls, or working on documents. The flexible stand eliminates the need for additional accessories and adds convenience in daily usage.
The tablet runs on Android 16 and Lenovo has promised two major operating system upgrades along with four years of security updates. This commitment ensures that users will continue receiving new features and security enhancements for an extended period.
Productivity focused users will also appreciate support for the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus and Lenovo Wireless Keyboard. These accessories can transform the tablet into a more capable work and study device, making it suitable for note taking, creative tasks, and multitasking.
The Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 has been introduced with a starting price of 399.99 dollars, which translates to approximately Rs 37000. While the company has confirmed global availability, it has not yet announced plans for an Indian launch.
With its combination of premium audio, a sharp high refresh rate display, long battery life, software support, and productivity features, the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 enters the market as a strong option for users seeking a versatile Android tablet experience.
