Vivo X Fold 6 Set for Debut With New Blue Hole Finish and Advanced Foldable Features

Vivo is preparing to launch its next foldable flagship with a powerful chipset, upgraded multitasking tools, premium cameras, a large battery and a striking new design option.

The competition in the foldable smartphone segment is becoming more intense, and Vivo is preparing to strengthen its position with the upcoming Vivo X Fold 6. The company has officially confirmed that the new foldable device will be introduced in China on June 26, with pre reservations already underway.

One of the biggest highlights of the new smartphone is its fresh Blue Hole color variant. Inspired by the deep blue sinkholes found beneath the ocean, the finish gives the device a distinctive and premium appearance. Vivo has also retained a refined design language, featuring a metal frame, flat vertical edges, and smoothly rounded corners for a sophisticated look.

Vivo is placing a strong focus on performance with the X Fold 6. The smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition processor, a customized version developed through nearly two years of collaboration between Vivo and MediaTek. The company claims the chipset delivers improved AI processing capabilities and enhanced efficiency for demanding workloads.

The foldable device is also expected to offer a more productive user experience. It will arrive with an upgraded Atomic Workbench system that allows users to run multiple applications simultaneously on a single screen. Combined with Android 16 based OriginOS 6 Fold, the phone aims to provide smoother multitasking for both professional and personal use.

Display technology remains a key selling point for foldable devices, and Vivo appears to be raising the bar once again. The X Fold 6 is expected to feature a large 8.02 inch foldable screen built with Samsung M14 luminous material. The display is said to support an impressive peak brightness of up to 5000 nits, making it easier to view content even in bright outdoor environments.

Photography enthusiasts may also find plenty to like. According to details shared by company executives, the Vivo X Fold 6 will feature a quad rear camera setup. The primary camera is expected to include a 200 megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization and a bright aperture designed to improve low light performance. In addition, the device is likely to feature a 50 megapixel Sony LYT 602 periscope telephoto camera for enhanced zoom photography.

Battery life has become increasingly important in foldable smartphones, and Vivo appears ready to address that demand. Recent certification listings suggest the device could include a dual cell battery configuration with a combined typical capacity of around 6900 mAh. Such a large battery could help users enjoy extended productivity and entertainment without frequent charging breaks.

Security and convenience are also expected to be part of the package. Reports indicate the smartphone may include a side mounted fingerprint scanner, offering quick and reliable unlocking while maintaining the slim profile expected from premium foldable devices.

The foldable smartphone market has expanded significantly over the last few years as consumers seek larger displays without sacrificing portability. While Samsung continues to lead the category globally, brands like Vivo are introducing increasingly competitive devices with innovative features and premium hardware.

With a powerful processor, advanced camera system, bright foldable display, large battery, AI driven software features, and an eye catching new color option, the Vivo X Fold 6 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated foldable smartphone launches of the year. Industry observers will be watching closely to see how the device performs when it officially arrives later this month.
