OnePlus Unveils Turbo 6X Series With Massive Batteries Premium Displays and Rugged Design
OnePlus has introduced the Turbo 6X and Turbo 6X Pro with large batteries, advanced displays, powerful processors, durable construction, and flagship inspired features for demanding smartphone users.

OnePlus has expanded its smartphone lineup with the launch of two new devices in China, the OnePlus Turbo 6X and OnePlus Turbo 6X Pro. The latest additions focus heavily on battery life, durability, performance, and display quality, targeting users who expect long lasting power and reliable everyday performance from their smartphones.
The highlight of the new series is undoubtedly its battery capacity. While many premium smartphones continue to offer batteries in the 5000mAh range, OnePlus has pushed the limits further. The Turbo 6X arrives with a large 7000mAh battery, while the Turbo 6X Pro takes things a step ahead with an enormous 8000mAh battery. The company says these devices are built to comfortably handle extended gaming sessions, video streaming, navigation, and daily multitasking without constant charging anxiety.
Charging speeds have also been upgraded. The Turbo 6X supports 45W fast charging and wired reverse charging functionality, allowing users to power accessories and other compatible devices. The more advanced Turbo 6X Pro supports 80W fast charging technology, significantly reducing charging times despite its larger battery size. According to the company, the Pro model can deliver up to 29 hours of short video playback, 17 hours of navigation usage, or around 8 hours of continuous gaming on a single charge.
Display quality is another area where the two models differentiate themselves. The standard Turbo 6X features a 6.72 inch Full HD Plus LCD panel with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness reaching 1000 nits. The screen is designed to remain responsive even when operated with wet hands, oily fingers, or while wearing gloves, making it practical for outdoor use.
The Turbo 6X Pro offers a more premium visual experience. It features a larger 6.78 inch Samsung AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and the same 144Hz refresh rate. What makes the panel particularly impressive is its claimed peak brightness of up to 6500 nits, ensuring excellent visibility even under direct sunlight. The vibrant display is aimed at users who consume a lot of multimedia content or spend long hours gaming on their smartphones.
Under the hood, both smartphones are powered by MediaTek processors built on an efficient 4nm manufacturing process. The Turbo 6X uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Super chipset, while the Turbo 6X Pro is equipped with the more capable Dimensity 7400 Super processor. The Pro model also benefits from a 360 degree surround antenna system designed to improve network reception and connectivity performance in challenging conditions.
Software remains another key focus. Both devices run ColorOS 16 and come with a variety of smart software enhancements. OnePlus claims the Turbo 6X Pro has been engineered to maintain smooth performance over several years of usage, helping users enjoy a consistent experience even after prolonged ownership.
Photography enthusiasts will find meaningful upgrades in the Pro model. The standard Turbo 6X includes a 50 megapixel primary camera paired with a secondary sensor, while selfies are handled by an 8 megapixel front camera. The Turbo 6X Pro offers a more versatile camera setup featuring a 50 megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8 megapixel ultra wide camera, and a 16 megapixel front facing camera. Additional features such as live photos, soft light portrait effects, and vintage film filters are aimed at users who enjoy creative mobile photography.
Durability has become one of the major selling points of the new series. The Turbo 6X comes with an IP64 rating, offering protection against dust and water splashes. The Turbo 6X Pro raises the bar considerably by including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications. These ratings indicate a much higher level of resistance against water, dust, and harsh environmental conditions. The Pro model also carries multiple military grade durability certifications, reinforcing its positioning as a rugged smartphone built for demanding use.
Security features vary between the two models as well. The Turbo 6X includes a side mounted fingerprint scanner, while the Turbo 6X Pro adopts a more premium in display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
Pricing remains competitive considering the specifications on offer. The OnePlus Turbo 6X starts at 1,899 yuan for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version. Buyers can also choose higher storage variants, including 8GB and 256GB and 12GB and 256GB configurations. The Turbo 6X Pro begins at 1,999 yuan for the base model and is also available in multiple memory and storage options for users seeking additional performance and storage capacity.
The devices are being offered in several color choices. The Turbo 6X is available in White, Green Cloud, and Starry Black finishes, while the Turbo 6X Pro comes in Heartbeat Orange and Prancing Horse Black variants.
Although OnePlus has not yet confirmed global availability, industry observers believe the smartphones could eventually reach other markets. Previous Turbo series devices were later introduced internationally under different branding, including the Nord lineup. For now, however, the company has only announced the devices for the Chinese market.
With huge batteries, high refresh rate displays, powerful processors, advanced camera systems, and strong durability credentials, the OnePlus Turbo 6X series enters the market as a compelling option for users looking for performance focused smartphones that can comfortably handle intensive daily usage.
