Vivo X500 Pro Could Arrive Soon With Triple Cameras and Massive Battery
Vivo is reportedly testing a new compact flagship smartphone featuring a powerful MediaTek chipset, advanced triple rear cameras, large battery capacity and premium OLED display technology for launch soon.

Leading smartphone maker Vivo is reportedly preparing to launch a new compact flagship smartphone in the coming months. The upcoming device is expected to arrive as the Vivo X500 Pro or Vivo X500 Pro Mini and may succeed the current Vivo X300 series lineup.
According to fresh leaks from China, Vivo is testing two compact Pro series smartphones internally. Popular tipster Digital Chat Station recently shared details on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, claiming that one of the devices is currently undergoing testing with MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9600 series processor.
Although the exact model name has not yet been confirmed, reports suggest that the smartphone could be positioned as a premium compact flagship with powerful hardware and advanced camera capabilities. Vivo appears to be focusing on combining flagship level performance with a relatively compact form factor, a segment that has recently gained popularity among smartphone users.
The engineering prototype of the upcoming device is said to feature a triple rear camera setup. The camera system may include a 50 megapixel primary sensor equipped with LOFIC technology for improved image processing and better low light photography. The device could also include a 50 megapixel ultra wide camera along with a 64 megapixel periscope telephoto lens supporting 3x optical zoom.
Interestingly, the leak suggests that Vivo may not include a 200 megapixel telephoto camera in the X500 Pro. Instead, the company could reserve that premium sensor for a higher end model, possibly the Vivo X500 Pro Max.
Display quality is also expected to be one of the major highlights of the smartphone. Earlier reports claimed that the Vivo X500 Pro may feature a 6.37 inch flat OLED LTPO display with 1.5K resolution support. The LTPO technology could help deliver smoother refresh rate adjustments while improving battery efficiency during daily use.
Battery performance may become another strong selling point for the upcoming Vivo flagship. Reports indicate that the smartphone could pack a battery larger than 7000 mAh, which would place it among the highest capacity batteries currently available in the premium smartphone segment.
The smartphone is also expected to run on Android 17 based OriginOS 7 straight out of the box. Vivo has been steadily improving its software experience with smoother animations, AI based optimizations and better multitasking support in recent flagship devices.
Meanwhile, Vivo recently introduced the Vivo X300 Ultra in India earlier this month. The smartphone arrived with premium flagship specifications including a 6.82 inch LTPO OLED display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with the Adreno 840 GPU.
The Vivo X300 Ultra also focuses heavily on photography. Its rear camera setup includes a 200 megapixel primary camera, a 200 megapixel periscope telephoto sensor and a 50 megapixel ultra wide camera. For selfies and video calls, the device offers a 50 megapixel front camera.
In the battery department, the Vivo X300 Ultra packs a 6600 mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging technology.
Industry analysts believe Vivo’s upcoming X500 Pro series could further strengthen the company’s position in the premium smartphone market. With growing demand for compact flagship devices that deliver both performance and camera quality, the new series may attract users looking for a high end smartphone experience without an oversized design.
