Oben Rorr Evo Receives Massive Response With Over 25000 Bookings in Just 15 Days
Oben Electric says its newly launched Rorr Evo electric motorcycle has crossed 25000 bookings within two weeks as demand for premium electric bikes continues rising across India rapidly.
India’s electric two wheeler market is witnessing another major boost as Oben Electric claims strong early demand for its latest motorcycle, the Oben Rorr Evo. The Bengaluru based electric vehicle company revealed that the bike has received more than 25000 bookings within just 15 days of launch, highlighting the growing interest among buyers looking for high performance electric motorcycles.
The company says deliveries of the new electric bike are expected to begin next month. At present, the Oben Rorr Evo is available at an introductory ex showroom price of Rs 99999 for the first 10000 customers. Once the limited period offer ends, the price will increase to Rs 124999. Oben Electric has also activated the online payment portal for customers interested in securing their bookings early.
Oben Electric believes the overwhelming response reflects the changing preferences of Indian consumers, especially younger riders who are now exploring electric motorcycles that combine performance, smart features and long riding range. The company has been steadily expanding its retail and service network to support the increasing customer base across the country.
According to the company, it currently operates through more than 150 showrooms and service centers spread across over 100 cities in 18 states. Oben Electric also plans aggressive expansion in the coming years and aims to open 200 additional exclusive showrooms across India by the end of FY27.
The Oben Rorr Evo is powered by a 9kW I PMSM electric motor capable of generating up to 250Nm wheel torque. The bike uses a 3.4kWh LFP battery pack that comes with IP67 certification for water and dust resistance. The company claims the battery has been tested in temperatures as high as 280 degrees Celsius and will be covered under an eight year warranty.
Range and performance are among the major highlights of the motorcycle. Oben Electric says the Rorr Evo can deliver up to 180 kilometers IDC range on a single charge, while real world riding conditions may offer around 150 kilometers of range. The bike can achieve a top speed of 110 kilometers per hour and is capable of accelerating from 0 to 40 kilometers per hour in just five seconds.
The motorcycle is built on the company’s ARX platform and features a trellis frame designed for improved stability and handling. For suspension duties, the bike gets telescopic front forks along with a seven step adjustable monoshock setup at the rear. Braking performance is managed through 270mm disc brakes on both wheels supported by CBS technology.
Oben has also focused heavily on smart and connected features to attract modern riders. The Rorr Evo comes equipped with a 5 inch TFT display and Bluetooth connectivity. Riders can choose between four riding modes including Eco, Road, Havoc and Smart IQ. The company says the Smart IQ mode uses AI based riding analysis to estimate battery range more efficiently.
Additional features include all LED lighting, projector headlamps, horizontal DRLs, USB charging ports and a six liter under seat storage compartment. The motorcycle also offers a fall alert feature aimed at improving rider safety during emergencies.
With strong booking numbers and rapid dealership expansion, Oben Electric appears determined to strengthen its position in India’s growing electric motorcycle segment. The response to the Rorr Evo indicates that buyers are increasingly willing to consider electric alternatives that offer both practical range and sporty performance.
