Huawei Launches Smart Screen S7 MiniLED TVs with 8MP Camera and High Refresh Rate

Huawei has officially introduced its new Smart Screen S7 MiniLED television series, aiming to strengthen its presence in the premium smart TV market. The latest lineup arrives with multiple screen sizes, advanced display technology, AI powered features, and high refresh rate support designed for gaming and entertainment enthusiasts.

The company has launched the series in five display sizes ranging from 55 inches to a massive 98 inches. Huawei says the new televisions are focused on delivering brighter visuals, smoother motion performance, and smarter connectivity features for modern households.

One of the biggest highlights of the Smart Screen S7 series is the inclusion of MiniLED backlighting combined with 4K LCD panels. Huawei has equipped the TVs with improved brightness levels and enhanced color reproduction to offer a more immersive viewing experience across movies, sports, and gaming content.

The smaller 55 inch and 65 inch variants come with up to 1200 nits peak brightness, while the 75 inch and 85 inch models push brightness levels even higher with support for up to 1500 nits. The flagship 98 inch model offers 500 nits typical brightness along with 95 percent DCI P3 color gamut coverage, helping deliver richer colors and deeper contrast.

Huawei has also placed major focus on refresh rate technology. The 55 inch to 85 inch variants feature native 120Hz panels supported by motion enhancement technology capable of reaching up to 300Hz output. The largest 98 inch version goes a step further by offering a native 144Hz refresh rate along with a 288Hz motion enhancement mode. According to Huawei, these features are particularly beneficial for gamers and viewers who frequently watch fast moving sports or action content.

The television lineup runs on HarmonyOS 4.3 and includes Huawei’s Xiaoyi voice assistant for smart voice interactions. The software aims to provide smoother navigation, multitasking support, and integration with other Huawei ecosystem products.

Huawei has also introduced an 8MP camera with support for 1080p video calling across the Smart Screen S7 series. The camera includes a physical privacy shutter for added security, addressing growing concerns around smart device privacy. The camera system also supports posture detection and distance monitoring features designed especially for families with children. These functions can alert viewers if they sit too close to the screen for extended periods.

Performance hardware varies slightly depending on screen size, but the 55 inch to 85 inch models are powered by Huawei’s Honghu chipset. These variants include 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Huawei has additionally included a virtual RAM feature that can allocate extra memory for smoother background performance and multitasking.

Audio performance has also been customized across different models. The 55 inch and 65 inch televisions include dual 25W speakers with a 2.0 channel audio setup. The 75 inch version adds dedicated tweeters for clearer sound output, while the 85 inch model upgrades to a 2.1 channel system featuring a 44W subwoofer. The largest 98 inch model comes equipped with dual 20W speakers along with a 50W woofer for more powerful room filling sound.

Connectivity features differ slightly between variants. Models from 55 inches to 85 inches include two HDMI 2.1 ports, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and WiFi 5 support. The premium 98 inch version offers three HDMI 2.1 ports along with upgraded WiFi 6 connectivity for faster wireless performance.

Huawei has launched the Smart Screen S7 MiniLED series in a Starry Gray color finish. Pricing starts at 3999 yuan for the 55 inch model, while the top end 98 inch variant has been introduced at 12999 yuan. The company is positioning the lineup as a premium entertainment solution for users looking for advanced display quality, gaming support, AI features, and smart home integration in a single device.
