Oben Electric Launches New Roar EV Bike at Introductory Price
Oben Electric has introduced its new Roar EV motorcycle with an introductory price of under Rs 1 lakh, offering advanced features, strong range performance, and test rides from June.
Electric two wheeler manufacturer Oben Electric has officially launched its latest electric motorcycle, the Roar EV, aiming to attract customers looking for an affordable yet feature packed electric bike.
The company announced a special introductory price of Rs 99,999 ex showroom for the first 10,000 customers. According to founder Madhumita Agrawal, the motorcycle can be booked by paying Rs 777. After the introductory offer period ends, the ex showroom price will increase to Rs 1,24,999.
Oben Electric said test rides and deliveries of the new motorcycle will begin from June across selected locations. The company is positioning the Roar EV as a practical option for daily commuting along with long distance urban riding.
One of the major highlights of the motorcycle is its certified riding range of 180 kilometres on a single charge. The company also claims the bike can achieve a top speed of 110 kilometres per hour, making it suitable for both city and highway travel.
The Roar EV comes equipped with SmartIQ technology, which reportedly improves riding efficiency based on the rider’s driving style. According to the company, this feature can help deliver up to 15 percent additional range under certain riding conditions.
Another standout feature is the 10 litre under seat storage space, which the company claims is being introduced for the first time in an electric motorcycle in this segment. The added storage is expected to offer more convenience for everyday users carrying bags, chargers, or personal items.
With the growing demand for electric mobility in India, Oben Electric is hoping the aggressive pricing and practical features of the Roar EV will help the company strengthen its position in the competitive electric two wheeler market.
