Fuel tanker explosion in South Africa; 10 died, more than 40 people were injured

Johannesburg: At least 10 people were killed and 40 injured after a fuel tanker carrying LPG exploded near Tambo Memorial Hospital in Boksburg on Saturday.10 people died as a result of the explosion of a huge fuel tanker (Fuel Tanker Blast) in Boksburg, Johannesburg, South Africa. At least 10 people were killed and 40 injured after a fuel tanker carrying LPG exploded near Tambo Memorial Hospital in Boksburg on Saturday, the BBC reported. It is said that the fuel tanker got stuck under the bridge which is about 100 meters away from the hospital and the explosion took place. A part of the roof of the hospital collapsed after the blast.

A second massive explosion occurred while firefighters were trying to put out the fire. The engine of the fire engine and two motor vehicles were damaged. The death toll from this incident is expected to rise. The condition of 19 people who have already been injured is critical. Local authorities have informed that 15 injured are in stable condition but seriously injured.

6 firemen also sustained minor injuries. Videos of this tanker explosion are going viral on social media. The tanker was carrying 60,000 liters of LPG gas. It is especially used in cooking and gas stoves.
