According to SBI, account holders can access this information through WhatsApp without logging into the Yono app or visiting an ATM. To avail this service, users need to register their SBI account for WhatsApp service and first give their consent through SMS.

Step to Register for SBI WhatsApp Service:

To register your bank account for SBI WhatsApp Banking service, type ‘Ware A/C Number’ from your registered mobile number and send an SMS to 917208933148. Then as soon as the registration process is completed. You will be able to use SBI’s WhatsApp service.

After this, you need to open WhatsApp and send it to +909022690226. Here again a pop-up message will open. After this, you will get options like account balance and mini statement.

If you want to check account balance, you should type type 1. At the same time, 2 needs to be typed for mini statement.
