Vivo V23e 5G launched today with 44MP front camera: Price and features

Vivo V23e 5G: Vivo launched a new smartphone, Vivo V23e, today in India. The Chinese smartphone maker had already launched the V23 series in January this year having two smartphones, Vivo V23 Pro and Vivo V23. The V23 Pro and V23 were launched in the premium category. Now, it seems that Vivo V23e would be among the mid-segment smartphones. Vivo V23e will be streamed at 12 noon via social media channels. Vivo V23e mobile was launched in November 2021. The phone comes with a 6.44-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Vivo V23e is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G96 processor.

It comes with 8GB of RAM. The Vivo V23e runs Android 11 and is powered by a 4030mAh battery. The Vivo V23e supports proprietary fast charging. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Vivo V23e on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 64-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture; an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

The rear camera setup has autofocussed. It has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 50-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. The Vivo V23e runs Funtouch OS 12 is based on Android 11 and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card. The Vivo V23e is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.

The Vivo V23e measures 160.87 x 74.28 x 7.36mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 172.00 grams. It was launched in Black and Blue Rose colours. It bears a plastic body. Connectivity options on the Vivo V23e include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.20, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, proximity sensor, and in-display fingerprint sensor.

Vivo might pack the V23e with a MediaTek chipset coupled with 6GB RAM. It is more likely to run on Android 11 along with the FunTouch OS by Vivo. Its predecessor, Vivo V23 runs Android 12 based on FunTouch OS 12 with a 4,200mAh battery. It was powered by MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC. For photography, the V23 has 64MP main lens, 8MP ultra-wide sensor and 2MP macro lens. It too features dual selfie cameras of 50MP+98MP resolution.

Vivo V23e would likely to get a more powerful battery, may be around 5,000mAh. The lenses specifications are also likely to get a makeover in V23e. In terms of pricing, vivo would like to keep the V23e above Rs 20,000 but below Rs 25,000. Mainly with just V23 priced at Rs 29,990 for the 8GB variant.
