Trek Inbound Plus Electric Bike Launch With 85km Range

Trek has expanded its electric bike lineup with the launch of the Inbound Plus, a new commuter focused model aimed at riders looking for practical features and longer riding range. The electric bike has been introduced in Europe and comes with multiple configurations, two battery choices and equipment designed for everyday use.

The biggest highlight is its claimed range of up to 85km on a single charge. Trek is offering the Inbound Plus with Bosch PowerTube battery options, allowing buyers to choose between a smaller battery for regular city journeys and a larger unit for longer rides.

The 360Wh battery version is claimed to deliver up to 50km of range, while the larger 600Wh Bosch PowerTube battery can provide up to 85km under suitable riding conditions. Actual range can vary depending on factors such as rider weight, road conditions, assistance level and weather.

Power comes from a Bosch 250W Hubline motor. The motor can assist the bike up to a speed of 25km per hour and produces up to 85Nm of torque. This setup is intended to make daily commuting easier, particularly when riding on inclines or carrying additional load.

Trek has introduced the Inbound Plus in seven configurations and two frame options. This gives buyers more choice depending on their preferred equipment and battery requirements. The electric bike is also available in several colours, including Dark Star, Lavender Haze, Buff Beige and Desert Sage.

In Europe, the starting price of the Trek Inbound Plus is EUR 2,099, which is approximately Rs 2.32 lakh based on the conversion mentioned for the launch. For braking, Trek has equipped the electric bike with hydraulic disc brakes. This braking system is expected to provide stronger and more controlled stopping performance compared with conventional mechanical systems, which can be useful during busy city riding.

The Inbound Plus also gets a Bosch Purion display mounted on the bike. Riders can use the display to check information such as battery level, current assistance details and speed while riding. Having these details within easy reach can make it simpler to monitor the bike during daily journeys.

One of the more distinctive features is the Gates SideTrack belt drive. Instead of using a conventional bicycle chain, the system uses a belt drive that requires less routine maintenance.
