Redmi Turbo 5 Launch Confirmed for June 16 With Flagship Level Power and Massive Battery
Redmi has confirmed the launch of its Turbo 5 smartphone, promising top tier performance, advanced cooling technology, high speed storage, and the biggest battery ever seen in a Redmi device.

Redmi has officially announced the arrival of its much anticipated Turbo 5 smartphone, with the device set to make its debut on June 16. The launch marks an important milestone for the brand as it introduces the Turbo series to the market, aiming to attract users who prioritize performance, gaming capabilities, and long battery life in a single package.
Ahead of the launch event, the company has already revealed several key specifications, creating significant excitement among smartphone enthusiasts. Redmi claims the Turbo 5 will be the fastest smartphone it has ever produced and will also feature the largest battery ever included in a Redmi handset.
Performance appears to be one of the biggest highlights of the upcoming device. Redmi has confirmed that the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor, a chipset designed to deliver flagship grade speed and efficiency. According to the company, the processor has achieved an impressive score exceeding 2.3 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark platform, indicating strong capabilities for gaming, multitasking, and demanding applications.
To complement the powerful chipset, the smartphone will support up to 24GB of total memory through a combination of physical and virtual RAM. Reports suggest that the device could be available with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, while additional virtual memory will further enhance multitasking performance. Redmi is also bringing UFS 4.1 storage technology to the handset, ensuring faster app loading times and quicker file transfers.
Battery life is expected to be another major selling point. The smartphone is anticipated to feature a massive 7560mAh battery, making it the largest battery ever offered in a Redmi phone. For users who spend long hours gaming, streaming videos, or working on the go, the larger battery could significantly reduce charging anxiety. The device is also expected to support 100W wired fast charging, allowing users to quickly power up the phone when needed.
Managing heat effectively is critical in high performance smartphones, and Redmi appears to have addressed this concern with an advanced 3D Ice Loop cooling system. The company says the technology is designed to improve heat dissipation during intensive tasks, helping maintain stable performance over extended periods of use.
While the Indian version is yet to be fully unveiled, the smartphone is already available in China, providing a glimpse into what buyers can expect. The Chinese model features a 6.59 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1268 x 2756 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gameplay, along with a touch sampling rate of up to 480Hz for improved responsiveness. Peak brightness reaches an impressive 3500 nits, making the display easier to view even under bright outdoor conditions.
Photography enthusiasts are also likely to find plenty to like. The device is equipped with a dual rear camera setup led by a 50 megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor. Supporting the main camera is an 8 megapixel ultra wide lens designed for capturing wider scenes and landscapes. On the front, a 20 megapixel selfie camera handles video calls and self portraits.
Redmi has also hinted at a durable body construction, suggesting that the device will be built to withstand everyday usage while maintaining a premium feel. Although complete details regarding design and build materials have not yet been revealed, the company has indicated that durability has been a key focus during development.
The smartphone’s dedicated microsite has already gone live on Amazon, confirming the platform as one of the official sales channels after launch. Promotional material released by the company suggests that the device will be available in at least two color options, including black and white variants, though the official marketing names have not yet been announced.
With a powerful processor, flagship level memory configuration, ultra fast storage, advanced cooling technology, a high refresh rate AMOLED display, and an enormous battery, the Redmi Turbo 5 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious smartphones from the brand. As the launch date approaches, more features and pricing details are expected to be revealed, giving consumers a clearer picture of what could become one of the most talked about smartphone releases of the season.
