Oppo A7 Pro Launched With 8000mAh Battery And IP69K Rating

Oppo A7 Pro has launched in China with an 8000mAh battery, 45W charging, 120Hz display, 50MP camera, Dimensity 6360 Max processor and IP69K protection.

Oppo has introduced the new A7 Pro in China, adding another smartphone to its A series lineup. The phone stands out mainly for its large 8000mAh battery, durable build and high refresh rate display.

The A7 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max processor and runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. Along with its large battery, the handset also brings 45W SuperVOOC charging, giving it a strong focus on long battery life and everyday performance.

The phone has already opened for pre orders in China and is scheduled to go on sale from September 11. Oppo has offered the device in three colour options, giving buyers a choice between Desert Brown, Every Step Blossom and Riding the Waves.

Oppo A7 Pro Price And Variants

The Oppo A7 Pro starts at CNY 2199 for the 6GB RAM and 256GB storage model. This works out to roughly Rs 31000 based on the conversion mentioned for the Chinese pricing.

The higher version with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs CNY 2499, which is approximately Rs 35000.

Oppo has not yet provided details about an India launch or Indian pricing. For now, the smartphone is confirmed for the Chinese market.

120Hz Display And Performance

The Oppo A7 Pro features a 6.57 inch Full HD Plus display with a resolution of 2372 by 1080 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Brightness is rated at up to 800 nits globally, while peak brightness can reach 1400 nits. This combination should make the display suitable for everyday scrolling, watching videos and general smartphone use.

Under the hood, the phone uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max chipset. It comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

The handset runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, giving it a newer software platform out of the box.

8000mAh Battery With 45W Charging

Battery capacity is one of the biggest highlights of the Oppo A7 Pro. The phone packs an 8000mAh battery, which is considerably larger than what is commonly seen in many mainstream smartphones.

Oppo has paired the battery with 45W SuperVOOC Flash Charge support. The combination is aimed at users who spend long hours away from a charger and want a phone built around extended usage.

The large battery also fits the overall positioning of the A7 Pro, which combines durability with practical features rather than focusing only on premium specifications.

50MP Rear Camera

For photography, the Oppo A7 Pro has a 50MP primary rear camera with an f/1.9 aperture and autofocus. The front of the phone houses an 8MP camera with an f/2.1 aperture for selfies and video calls.

The camera setup is relatively straightforward, with the primary rear sensor handling the main photography duties. Oppo has therefore focused more on the core camera experience alongside the phone’s battery and durability features.

IP69K Protection And Connectivity

The Oppo A7 Pro carries an IP69K rating, giving the phone a strong emphasis on protection against dust and water. This is particularly notable for users who want a handset that can better handle demanding everyday conditions.

Connectivity options include 5G, Wi Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, QZSS and a USB C port. The phone also includes an infrared remote control feature.

For security, Oppo has equipped the handset with an in display optical fingerprint sensor along with facial recognition.

The phone measures 159.08mm in length, 75.81mm in width and 8.80mm in thickness. It weighs around 205 grams.

Additional sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass and proximity sensor.

Oppo A7 Pro Focuses On Battery And Durability

With the A7 Pro, Oppo appears to be targeting users who place greater importance on battery endurance and durability. The 8000mAh battery is the most prominent feature, while IP69K protection gives the phone another practical advantage.

At the same time, the 120Hz display, Dimensity 6360 Max processor, 50MP camera and 5G connectivity keep the device competitive in other important areas.

The Oppo A7 Pro is currently limited to the Chinese market, where sales are set to begin on September 11. Whether Oppo brings the smartphone to India or other markets remains unknown at this stage.
