OnePlus May Expand Affordable N Series With New Smartphone Featuring Massive Battery

OnePlus is preparing to strengthen its affordable smartphone lineup with another N series model that is expected to offer a large battery modern software and value focused features.

OnePlus appears to be gearing up for another addition to its affordable N series smartphone lineup following the recent launch of the OnePlus N6 in India. Fresh indications have surfaced after a dedicated microsite for a new N series device went live on Amazon, suggesting that another budget friendly smartphone could arrive in the coming weeks.

Although the company has not officially announced a launch date, the live teaser has confirmed that a new OnePlus N series handset is on the way. The upcoming model is widely expected to be called the OnePlus N6x, though the company has not yet confirmed its final branding or specifications.

The N series has been positioned below the popular Nord lineup, targeting buyers who want dependable performance, long battery life, and essential features without paying premium prices. Industry observers believe the upcoming smartphone will continue this strategy by offering practical upgrades while remaining competitively priced.

Battery life is expected to remain one of the biggest selling points of the new device. While official specifications are still under wraps, reports suggest that the smartphone could feature a battery with a capacity of up to 8000 mAh, matching the impressive power backup offered by the recently launched OnePlus N6. If accurate, users can expect extended usage for gaming, streaming, and everyday tasks without frequent charging.

The recently launched OnePlus N6 has already set the tone for the series with its focus on endurance. The device packs an 8000 mAh battery that supports 45 W fast charging along with 5 W reverse wired charging, allowing users to charge compatible accessories directly from the phone. OnePlus claims the handset can deliver up to three days of usage on a full charge under normal conditions.

Beyond battery performance, the OnePlus N6 offers a balanced hardware package for budget conscious buyers. It features a 6.75 inch HD Plus LCD display with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1200 nits, making it suitable for multimedia consumption and everyday outdoor use. The smartphone runs on OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, bringing the latest software experience to the affordable segment.

Powering the OnePlus N6 is the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex processor paired with an ARM Mali G57 MC2 graphics unit. The device is equipped with a 50 megapixel rear camera capable of supporting up to 10 times digital zoom, while an 8 megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls. The phone also includes several artificial intelligence based features designed to improve everyday usability.

To ensure consistent performance during extended use, OnePlus has integrated a large 5300 square millimeter vapor chamber cooling system into the N6. This thermal management solution is intended to reduce overheating during gaming and heavy multitasking sessions while maintaining stable performance.

In India, the OnePlus N6 is available in Fresh Mint and Midnight Black color options. The base model with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage is priced at Rs 22999, while the 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant is available for Rs 24999.

While OnePlus has not revealed the specifications or pricing of the upcoming N series smartphone, the appearance of the Amazon microsite strongly suggests that an official announcement is not far away. If the new handset continues the formula of combining a massive battery, capable hardware, and affordable pricing, it could become another attractive option for users looking for long lasting performance without entering the premium smartphone segment.
