Motorola Razr 70 Series Leak Reveals New Finishes and Upgraded Features
Upcoming foldable smartphones may arrive with textured and premium finishes, improved battery, larger displays, and enhanced AI features, hinting at a significant upgrade over the previous Razr lineup

Motorola appears to be preparing for the launch of its next-generation foldable smartphones, with fresh leaks offering a closer look at what users can expect from the Razr 70 series. The lineup, expected to include the standard Razr 70 and the Razr 70 Ultra, has surfaced across certification platforms, hinting that an official unveiling may not be far away.
The biggest highlight from recent leaks is the design shift. The Razr 70 is expected to feature a textured finish and may be offered in subtle grey and green color options. Meanwhile, the premium Razr 70 Ultra could stand out with more experimental materials, including a fabric-like blue finish and even a wood-inspired panel, giving the device a distinctive and premium feel in hand.
Details shared by well-known tipster Evan Blass on social media suggest that Motorola is focusing heavily on aesthetics this time. The leaked visuals also show familiar branding placement, with the Razr name positioned on the lower flap and Motorola’s logo centered on the panel, maintaining brand continuity while refining the look.
On the hardware front, the Razr 70 Ultra is expected to feature a large 7-inch inner foldable display with a resolution of 1224 by 2992 pixels. Complementing this is a 4-inch outer cover screen, offering improved usability without unfolding the device. The cover display appears to house dual cameras alongside an LED flash, while the inner screen may include a punch-hole cutout for selfies and video calls.
Performance upgrades are also likely. The Razr 70 Ultra could offer up to 16 GB of RAM and run on a new Hello UI based on Android 16. Reports suggest the addition of a dedicated Moto AI button on the left side, signaling a stronger push toward AI-powered features. Standard controls such as volume buttons are expected to sit on the right side, along with a secondary microphone placed near the top edge.
Battery life could see a noticeable improvement as well. The upcoming model is rumored to include a 5000 mAh battery with support for 68 W wired charging, which would mark an upgrade over the previous generation. Connectivity options are expected to include Bluetooth, NFC, and a USB Type C port, ensuring compatibility with modern accessories and networks.
Adding credibility to these leaks, a Motorola device carrying the model number XT2655-4 has recently appeared on China’s 3C certification website. Industry watchers believe this could be the Razr 70 Ultra, further strengthening speculation about an imminent launch.
With a blend of fresh design elements and upgraded internals, Motorola’s Razr 70 series is shaping up to be a notable contender in the foldable smartphone segment.
