Motorola tablets receive unexpected price increase across configurations, making them costlier for buyers despite strong specifications, as reports suggest changes without official confirmation from the company so far
Motorola’s tablet lineup in India appears to have become more expensive, with reported price hikes affecting both the Moto Pad 60 Pro and Moto Pad 60 Neo models. The increase, which applies across multiple variants, is said to run into thousands of rupees, potentially impacting buyers planning a purchase.
While the company has not officially announced the revision, details have surfaced through industry sources and tipsters, indicating that all configurations in the Moto Pad 60 series have been affected. The update has drawn attention as it comes without a formal statement, leaving customers to rely on updated listings and reports.
The revised pricing shows noticeable jumps, especially in higher storage variants. The Moto Pad 60 Pro WiFi only model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is now reportedly priced at 27999, up from its earlier price of 26999. The more powerful 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant has seen a steeper increase, now costing 31999 compared to its previous price of 28999.
The Moto Pad 60 Neo lineup has also seen adjustments. The 5G plus WiFi version with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is now said to be priced around 23999, reflecting a notable increase. Meanwhile, the WiFi only variant of the same tablet is now available at 21499, making it a slightly more affordable option within the series.
Despite the price revision, both tablets continue to offer competitive specifications in their segment. The Moto Pad 60 Pro features a large 12.7 inch LTPS LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals for browsing and media consumption. It also offers a pixel density of 273PPI and peak brightness of up to 400 nits, ensuring decent clarity in everyday use.
Performance remains a strong point of the Pro model. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor built on a 4nm architecture, paired with a Mali G615 GPU. The tablet supports up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, which can be expanded further via a microSD card up to 1TB.
The price hike comes at a time when competition in the tablet market is intensifying, especially in the mid range and premium segments. For potential buyers, this increase may influence purchase decisions, particularly when comparing alternatives offering similar specifications at competitive pricing.
