Jio Budget Shock as Affordable 209 Rupee Plan Disappears From App Listings
Popular low cost Jio prepaid pack offering daily data and unlimited calling removed from MyJio app raising questions among users about future budget friendly recharge options and telecom changes

Reliance Jio users have recently noticed an unexpected change that has left many of them concerned. The company’s budget friendly prepaid plan priced at 209 rupees has quietly disappeared from the MyJio app. This plan was earlier listed under affordable packs and was known for offering a balanced mix of daily data, calling benefits and SMS services at a low price point.
The sudden removal of the plan has sparked discussion among users, especially because there has been no official explanation from the company so far. Some reports suggest that this move could be linked to recent regulatory discussions in the telecom sector, where transparency in tariff structures has been a growing focus. However, nothing has been confirmed by Jio yet, leaving customers uncertain about its return.
Before its disappearance, the 209 rupee plan was considered one of the most value driven options in Jio’s prepaid portfolio. It offered 1GB of high speed data per day along with a total validity of 22 days, adding up to 22GB of data overall. Alongside this, users also received unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day, making it a practical option for everyday mobile usage.
The plan also included access to additional services such as JioTV and JioAICloud, which added more value for entertainment and storage needs. Once the daily high speed data limit was exhausted, the internet speed was reduced to 64 Kbps, allowing only basic browsing functions.
For many users, the biggest attraction of this plan was its affordability. At an effective cost of around 9.5 rupees per day, it stood out as one of the most economical prepaid options in the market, especially for those who needed consistent daily data without spending much.
The removal has now created uncertainty among budget focused customers who relied on this pack for daily usage. While Jio has not shared any official update, users are now waiting to see whether the company will bring back the same plan or introduce a new alternative with similar benefits in the coming days.
