HMD 2760 Flip 4G May Bring Back Nokia Style With Android And Dual Screens

HMD 2760 Flip 4G is expected to revive the classic Nokia inspired design with Android based software, two displays, 4G connectivity, upgraded battery and familiar features.

The classic flip phone design is making another appearance, this time with a modern twist. HMD is reportedly preparing the 2760 Flip 4G, a device that could remind longtime Nokia users of the company’s older clamshell phones.

Unlike many basic phones from the past, the upcoming model is expected to bring Android based software. Reports suggest it could use Icon OS 13, based on Android 13 Go, potentially giving users a more capable experience than a traditional feature phone.

The phone is expected to retain the familiar folding design. It could have a 2.8 inch LCD display on the inside and a smaller 1.77 inch screen on the outside. The cover display would allow users to check basic information without opening the phone.

Camera hardware is also expected to receive an upgrade. The rear panel could feature a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with an LED flash, while a VGA camera may be placed on the front for basic video calls.

Connectivity should be another major improvement. As the name suggests, the HMD 2760 Flip 4G is expected to support 4G networks for calls and mobile data. Leaked specifications also point to 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, with a microSD card potentially allowing expansion up to 128GB.

The battery could make the new model more practical for everyday use. A 2500mAh battery is reportedly planned, along with a USB Type C charging port. That would represent a significant increase over the battery capacity of the older Nokia 2760 Flip.

The software could be what separates this device from ordinary feature phones. Android 13 Go is designed for devices with modest hardware, so HMD could offer a lighter interface while retaining access to selected Android services. The exact software experience, however, will depend on the final product.

There may also be a small surprise for Nokia fans. The much loved Snake game is reportedly expected to be included, giving the new phone a nostalgic touch alongside its newer hardware and 4G capabilities.

The HMD 2760 Flip 4G has not yet been officially detailed in full, so the reported specifications should be treated as early information. If these details prove accurate, HMD could be aiming at buyers who want something simpler than a smartphone without giving up modern connectivity.
