Acer Expands Tablet Portfolio With New Iconia Duo S12 and Duo D12 Models

Acer introduces two new productivity focused tablets featuring large displays, MediaTek processors, stylus support and versatile accessories, targeting professionals, students and everyday users seeking flexibility.

Acer has strengthened its tablet lineup with the introduction of the new Acer Iconia Duo S12 and Acer Iconia Duo D12. Designed to cater to different user segments, the two devices focus on productivity, entertainment and portability while supporting accessories such as active stylus pens, magnetic keyboards and kickstands.

The company is positioning the Iconia Duo S12 as a premium tablet aimed at digital creators, professionals and users who need powerful hardware in a lightweight design. Meanwhile, the Iconia Duo D12 is targeted at consumers looking for an affordable productivity device without compromising on essential features.

One of the biggest highlights of both tablets is their large 12.2 inch displays with a 3:2 aspect ratio. This screen format provides additional vertical space, making it more comfortable for reading documents, browsing the web, editing content and handling work related tasks.

The Acer Iconia Duo S12 arrives with a high end 2.8K OLED display capable of delivering vibrant visuals and deep contrast. The screen supports 100 percent DCI P3 color coverage and offers brightness levels of up to 600 nits. Acer has also equipped the tablet with nano texture glass that helps reduce glare and fingerprints, improving the viewing experience in different lighting conditions.

Powering the premium model is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS storage. The tablet runs on Android 16 and is designed to deliver smooth performance for multitasking, creative work and everyday productivity. Acer claims that the battery can provide up to 10 hours of usage on a single charge, making it suitable for long workdays and travel.

Connectivity options on the Duo S12 include USB Type C, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 support. The device also works with an active stylus, magnetic keyboard and kickstand, transforming it into a more versatile workstation for users who prefer working on the move.

The more affordable Iconia Duo D12 focuses on balancing performance and value. It features a 12.2 inch WQXGA display with a resolution of 2400 x 1600 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother navigation and scrolling. The tablet is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G99 chipset, accompanied by 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

For users who require additional space, the Duo D12 supports storage expansion through a microSD card slot. Acer has also included a USB Type C port, making file transfers and charging more convenient.

Photography and video calling capabilities are handled by an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front facing camera. The tablet also comes with dual stereo speakers to enhance multimedia consumption, whether users are watching videos, attending online classes or participating in virtual meetings.

Like its premium sibling, the Duo D12 offers up to 10 hours of battery life and supports accessories such as an active stylus, magnetic keyboard and kickstand. Connectivity features include WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 support, ensuring reliable wireless performance for everyday tasks.

Acer has confirmed that both tablets will reach the North American market in August 2026. Customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa are expected to receive the devices during the third quarter of the year.

With the launch of the Iconia Duo S12 and Duo D12, Acer is expanding its presence in the tablet segment by offering options for both premium users and budget conscious buyers. The combination of large displays, accessory support and productivity focused features positions these tablets as strong contenders for work, study and entertainment needs.
