Due to the depression in the Bay of Bengal and the formation of a surface cyclone on the coast of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka is likely to receive rain again till November 26. Not only Bengaluru, the coastal districts of Karnataka, the southern hinterland and some parts of the northern hinterland are likely to receive heavy rains from today, according to the India Meteorological Department.

Bengaluru received 2 mm of rain on Wednesday. Some parts of the state are likely to experience fog during the early hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be 26 degrees and 19 degrees Celsius respectively. Widespread rain is forecast today in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Shivamogga, Kodagu, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Bengaluru, Bengaluru Rural, Mandya, Ramanagara, Mysore, Tumkur, Vijayapur and Haveri districts of the state.

Coastal districts like Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada and hilly areas like Shivamogga, Kodagu and Hassan will also receive heavy rainfall. Similarly, the south interior districts of Karnataka such as Mandya, Ramanagara, Chikkaballapur, Kolar, Davangere, Mysuru, Tumkur and Vijayapur, Dharwad and Haveri districts of North Karnataka are likely to receive showers today.

Which states will receive rain today: Thunderstorm is expected in Andaman and Nicobar Islands today. Scattered showers are forecast in Lakshadweep. Thunderstorm will occur over Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe. Dry weather will continue in other areas.
