Home Minister Araga Jnanendra Speaking about this in interview given to a private news channel, Praveen Nettaru was murdered on the night of July 26. He was killed in the village of Bellare. The killers were said to be from Kerala. He said that those who killed Praveen Nettaru were locals and not from Kerala.

A BJP youth leader, Praveen was hacked to death with lethal weapons in taluk’s Bellare by an unidentified bike-borne duo on Tuesday, July 26 night. Praveen Nettaru was shutting down his poultry shop when he was brutally attacked. He had just downed the shutter of his shop when he saw two persons on a KL registered motorbike charging towards him. 

He ran towards the neighbouring shop in a bid to escape but the duo struck his head with a long knife and fled the scene. Praveen was found lying in a pool of blood and while being shifted to a private hospital he succumbed.

Afeter Two persons have been arrested in the BJP Yuva Morcha member Praveen Kumar Nettaru murde case. The arrested accused are identified as Zakir (29) from Savanoor and Mohammed Shafiq (27) from Bellare. The duo was arrested from Kasargod  It is gathered that Shafiq and Zakhir are the conspirators, while the assailants are yet to be arrested.
