A horrific incident took place in Vidya Nagar in Harihara city of Davangere district where the father-in-law was attacked and killed by his daughter-in-law by throwing hot water and car powder on him due to family feud. A woman named BM Jyoti (28) murdered her father-in-law P. Shivakumar (70).

At present the accused has been arrested by the police. A case has been registered at Harihar Nagar Police Station.The family hailing from Siraguppa in Bellary district had been living in Harihar for the past six months. Son of the murdered Shivakumar P. Veeresh is an employee of Kargil Company in Harihar. The daughter-in-law of the accused was arrested and sent to Shimoga Jail.
