Strong earthquake in Nepal, 6 kills, earthquake felt around Delhi

Delhi/Kathmandu: People who were shocked by the earthquake ran out of their houses. It is reported that the earthquake was felt for about 10 seconds. A strong earthquake (Nepal Earthquake) occurred in Doti district of Nepal in the early hours of Wednesday (November 9) and many houses collapsed.  The exact number of dead is yet to be reported, but according to preliminary information given by news agencies, six people have been confirmed dead so far. Aftershocks of the Nepal earthquake (Strong Tremors) have been felt by people in many places including Delhi, National Capital Region, Noida. People who were shocked by the earthquake ran out of their houses. It is reported that the earthquake was felt for about 10 seconds.

Earthquake was felt for the first time in Nepal at 8.52 pm on Tuesday (Nov 8). The magnitude of the first earthquake was recorded at 4.9 on the Richter scale. The earth shook for the second time at 1.57 am on Wednesday (Nov 9). Its intensity was 6.3 percent. Waves from the second earthquake in Nepal also shook the Indian cities of Delhi, Ghaziabad, Noida, Gurugram and Lucknow.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km. No emergency calls have been received since last night. The office of ‘National Center for Seismology’ tweeted that there was an earthquake center in Nepal. Many people have shared their experience of the earthquake on social media. Within half an hour of the earthquake, the hashtag #earthquake was trending on Twitter. No information about loss of life or property damage due to the earthquake in India is available so far.
